What a great evening we had at Chesham & Ley Hill.
Fourteen ladies joined us and the weather was lovely. We organised two divisions for the Competition and an extra fun element was included – nearest the pin (but not on the green) where we split into three divisions.
As the group prepared to move to the first tee, a major incentive appeared in the Clubhouse – the best selection of cakes seen in a long time. They would be waiting for the players when they finished.
Enthusiasm was high as the games started. The ladies drove off the first tee with the main challenge being to miss a large tree halfway down the fairway. Once that was negotiated, they disappeared into the distance on their way round the Course.
Once the ladies returned, the challenge was to get cards signed and handed in as soon as possible so that the cakes could be sampled – they were delectable as you can see in the photo.
With the results finalised we moved outside for the presentation of prizes and the photos.
It was an excellent evening. Our thanks go to the Chesham & Ley Hill team, both in the Clubhouse and out on the Course.
We are all looking forward to next year's Competition and, of course, the cakes !!
Thank you
