Handicaps for BCLGA Competitions  From Spring 2024 players entering County competitions and knockouts listed below will need to have played 6 acceptable scores for handicap purposes in the 365 days preceding the date of the competition or round of the event.

Senior County Championships – Handicap Competition

Should a player enter or play in a Competition without having played 6 acceptable scores for handicap purposes in the 365 days preceding the date of the competition or round of the event the following rules will apply:

  • In the Spring Meeting/County Championships – Handicap and Team Competition, Senior County Championships – Handicap Competition and Interclub Foursomes the player is not eligible to win any prizes or trophies.  This applies to any pair or team that contains a player who has played in fewer than 6 qualifying competition rounds.
  • In the Bucks Shield and the Bronze League the players match will be scored as a 10&8 loss.
  • In the knockouts, the player/pair is disqualified and their opponents awarded the match.
