2024 - Bucks Challenge Shield

This year, the Final of the 2024 Bucks Challenge Shield was played on the 29th September at Flackwell Heath GC between Hazlemere GC and Woburn GC. After a week when we have seen a huge amount of rain, we were lucky that the Course was open and that the Final could be played. Thanks go to the ground staff who produced a course in excellent condition.

The Final went down to the last match on the Course with Hazlemere GC winning 4-3, the deciding match going to the 17th hole. Hazlemere GC were overwhelmed with their win; this was the first time in the Club’s history that the Bucks Shield had been won.

It was very encouraging to see ladies of Flackwell Heath GC together with those from Hazlemere GC and Woburn GC supporting the Competition and their teams.

Our Starter for the day was Maura Spencer our County President who also presented the Bucks Shield to the winning Team.
