Champion of Champions - 2023

Runner-Up - Anna bel Pitts (Woburn GC) & Winner - Amelia Curtis (The Lambourne GC)

Many thanks must go to Burnham Beeches GC for stepping in at the last moment to host the Champion of Champions Final on Saturday 26th August 2023. The finalists were Amelia Curtis (The Lambourne GC) and Annabel Pitts (Woburn GC). The match was refereed by Janet Beal. Amelia got off to a flying start albeit that both young ladies birdied the Par 5 2nd hole and, after 9 holes was one under par. Amelia’s drive on the 5th hole, that flew nearly 300 yards into the dip had the Burnham members and guests, kindly waiting to let them through, wishing they could drive that far. But Annabel fought back on the back nine and her two shots to get onto the green of the 502 yard Par 5 11th hole were a sight to behold. This heralded the beginning of a fight back. But, Amelia held on to win on the 15th raising the Champion of Champion Trophy for the second time.

Once again, thank you to Burnham Beeches GC for hosting the Final and to the hospitality of their members and staff.
