Please do not hesitate to contact me as my assistance and guidance can often prevent situations becoming contentious or prolonged within your club. I am available to visit clubs to offer support or run sessions on handicapping.

Handicaps for BCLGA Competitions  From Spring 2024 players entering County competitions and knockouts listed below will need to have played 6 qualifying competition rounds in the 365 days preceding the date of the competition or round of the event.

Spring Meeting / County Championships – Handicap & Team Competitions

Senior County Championships – Handicap Competition

Should a player enter or play in a Competition without having played 6 qualifying competition rounds in the 365 days preceding the date of the competition or round of the event the following rules will apply:

  • In the Spring Meeting/County Championships – Handicap and Team Competition, Senior County Championships – Handicap Competition and Interclub Foursomes the player is not eligible to win any prizes or trophies.  This applies to any pair or team that contains a player who has played in fewer than 6 qualifying competition rounds.
  • In the Bucks Shield and the Bronze League the players match will be scored as a 10&8 loss.
  • In the knockouts, the player/pair is disqualified and their opponents awarded the match.
