The Spring Stableford Meeting for the Junior Girls was held at Oakland Park Golf Course on Monday 7th April. Oakland Park were extremely helpful in setting up the event and welcoming all the girls, parents and supporters, with a relaxed atmosphere. The weather had seen the course closed on the Sunday due to snow! So as Monday dawned everyone was pleased for the event to go ahead with blue skies at times. Even with the awkward Easter holidays seeing some schools on holiday and some not, there was a good turn out of 31 girls with a spread of girls in the Silver, Bronze and 9 hole categories. Despite the weather and snow the course was in very good condition and gave some good scores.
There were thank you’s to Oakland Park with mention to Alistair Thatcher for the arrangements and computer scoring, Stephen for the catering and the Ladies and Vice Captains Hilary Davies and Janeta Kling, and their lady members who helped by starting the girls, walking, scoring, supporting and making us feel so welcome. Thank you also went to Karen Burrows, Debbie Fitz-Costa, Louise Dimmock, Mrs Richards, Angela Jenkinson and Emma Marshall for their organisation, as well as the parents who supported.

Silver Division:
1st. Claudia Beasley 48 points
2nd. Alice Richards 37 points
Bronze Division:
1st. Lucy Etheridge 45 points
2nd. Megan Lance 40 points (on count back)
3rd. Victoria Whittaker 40 points
4th. Charlotte Nutt 37 points
