Lady/Junior Competitors

28 Lady/Junior pairs entered the annual greensomes BCLGA Lady and Junior competition, playing for the Karchargis Trophies. This year's event was held at The Lambourne Club in Burnham on Thursday 28th August. The Lambourne Club, founded in 1992, was designed by Donald Steel and is a tough parkland course with many lakes.

The weather was dry and mild and the course in marvellous condition. Everyone was is good spirits and eager to get playing. This event is known as a fun competition with a few girls competing in it for the first time.

1st Sue Clutterbuck and Louise Bowen (Ellesborough) 44 points

2nd    Lina Mckenna and Tanya Kumar (Harewood Downs) 42 points
3rd     Penny Napier and Lydia Johnston (Harleyford) 41 points on c/b
4th     Irene Gregory and Amy Staniford (Datchet) 41 points

The Lady Captain from The Lambourne Club, Gill Cunningham, presented the prizes and a big thank you goes to her and Ayla Wilkinson for starting everyone at the 1st and 10th respectively. Many thanks goes also to Carol Herbert and Lynda Hilton for all their help and hard work on the day. A huge thank you to Debbie Fitz-Costa for all the organising and the smooth running of the competition, which was a great success and enjoyed by everyone.
