The first Summer Meeting held by the county was a great success. The 3 Ball Alliance event was held on The Rosebery Course at Mentmore Golf Club on Thursday 21st July. Twenty five teams took part, with players from 12 clubs.
Margaret Maisey, the County President, and Sue Lee, the County Captain acted as Starters from the 1st and 10th tees. Sue McKeon was in charge of the overall organisation of the event, ably assisted by Janet Beal.
The course was in great condition and an excellent buffet awaited the players on completion of their round. The weather was dry and sunny, which resulted in some good scores.

1st: Phillipa Cook, Clare Fulton, Sue Ashworth (Woburn) - 80 points
2nd: Susan Kettler, Sue Lockett, Ann Brinklow (Mentmore) - 78 points
3rd: Pat Scotter, Lyn Sharp, The Oxfordshire Regitta Jensen (Ellesborough) - 76 points
4th: Jean McCullagh, Anne Jones, Fran Turner (Ellesborough) - 75 points
5th: Jeanette Richardson, Anne Styles, Elaine Harrison (Buckingham) - 73 points
Back Nine: Julie Monk, Liz Keens, Sue Holdship (Gerrards Cross) - 40 points
Front Nine: Jennifer Caddel, Cheryl Ashlee, Susan Garner (Woburn) - 40 points
