The Prizewinners at the Spring Stableford Meeting
The Junior Spring Stableford Meeting was held on Monday 12th April at Abbey Hill Golf Club in Milton Keynes, one of the venues for the BB&O training sessions. On a dry but cool and windy day, a total of 22 girls took part in the 18 hole competition, 14 players in the Silver Division and 8 in the Bronze Division.
The winners in both Divisions came from the neighbouring Club, Woburn. The Spring Salver (donated by the Etheridge family) was won by Shamiso Hatchard in the Bronze Division with 46 points. The Silver Division winner with 43 points was Megan Dennis who had won the Handicap Prize at last week's BB&O Championships.
Twelve girls took part in the 10 hole competition for those with a handicap in excess of 36. The winner with 21 points was Sophie Rhodes from Gerrards Cross.
At the Prize Presentation the Gill Batchelor Trophy was awarded to Luan Skeates from The Buckinghamshire Golf Club. The trophy is presented each spring to the junior to have gained the best new handicap during the previous year.
