Bucks. County Girls v Middlesex

Middlesex hosted our annual junior fixture on Sunday 13th September at Bush Hill Park Golf Club in Enfield. This is a short course with narrow fairways, many trees and some difficult holes with blind shots.
Bucks won 6-1. This was an amazing result as Middlesex hold their county training sessions here and none of our girls had played this course before.
Middlesex kindly delayed the start - many of our girls were held up on the M25, which was closed for 1 hour, and so they did not have time to warm up properly.
Annabel Dimmock v Nicola Foster Bucks 1 up
Eleanor Dimmock v Shanice Angol Bucks 1 up
Megan Lance v Natalie Dean Bucks 3&2
Luan Skeates v Lucy Carasco Bucks 4&3
Victoria Whittaker v Priya Pankhania Bucks 2 up
Shamiso Hatchard v Priyanka Parmer Middx 2up
Alice Richards v Charlotte Porter Bucks 3&2
Many thanks to Diana Williams the Middx CJO for organising the match and Jennifer Winn, MCLGA President for starting the girls.
RESULT: Bucks 6 - Middx 1
Bucks. County Girls v Beaconsfield Boys

The annual match between the boys of Beaconsfield and the County girls took place on Wednesday 13th August on a beautiful summer's days. The three 4BBB teams of Annabel Dimmock (captain) and Grace Wood, Rachel Davies and Annabel Kennedy and Luan Skeates with Kirsty Kennedy were played in a good, fighting but friendly, spirit.
Our first pair lost to a very strong boys team, the second match went all the way to the 18th but the boys ran out winners and our pair of Luan and Kirsty flew the flag for the girls by winning 3 & 2.
Thank you to Beaconsfield for hosting the match and in particular to Barbara Pratt for organising it.
RESULT: 2-1 to the Boys
Bucks. County Girls v Oxfordshire

The Bucks Team in the match against the Oxfordshire Juniors
Bucks hosted this match, which was played in glorious sunshine at Weston Turville, a pleasant parkland course between Wendover and Aston Clinton, on Sunday 14th June. Despite giving our opponents a combined 48 shots, some of the matches were very close and lost on the 18th. The Oxfordshire girls' chipping from around the greens was excellent, holing out on a few occasions.
Many thanks to Weston Turville's Lady Captain, Annette Bullock, for starting the girls, Cathy Armstrong for organising and Jen Marshall for supporting the girls.

Bucks. County Girls v Berkshire

The Bucks Team in the match against the Berkshire Juniors
The girls team of Zoe Fitz Costa, Evie Ing, Emily Marler, Lucy Matthews, Rebecca Parmenter, Megan Lance and Charlotte West had a brilliant win against Berks at Ellesborough on Sunday 24th May.
Everyone in the team played well and Zoe in particular, who was feeling under the weather, pulled off an amazing half after being 2 down and 2 to play.
The final score was 6 1/2 matches - 1/2. The games were played in good spirit and the girls of both sides were a credit to their counties.

On Friday 20th February our Bucks Girls played a match against Woburn boys on the Duchess course at Woburn GC. This is one of three beautiful woodland courses on the Duke of Bedford's estate. After the thick fog lifted, the sun shone; however it was still a crisp day and rather chilly as the fairways are surrounded by a pine forest.
The course re-opened the day before, after being closed for a week and a half, due to heavy snow. The girls commented on the wonderful condition of the course and how fast the greens were considering the recent weather.
The format of the match was 4 Ball Better Ball and Sue Ashworth (Woburn Junior Committee) was a perfect host.
The three girls who are not members at Woburn were particularly privileged to play here and taken in by the resident fox who is so friendly that she came up beside Annabel for some of her Jaffa Cake. Us parents witnessed a lively monkjack dash across the 18th green.
Results:
Zoe Fitz-Costa & Rebecca Parmenter - Lost
Lydia Johnston & Annabel Dimmock - Won
Claudia Beasley & Chloe Li - Lost
RESULT: LOST 1 - 2
