BB&O Stableford 2011

BERKSHIRE, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE & OXFORDSHIRE

TEAM STABLEFORD COMPETITION

SUNDAY 27th MARCH 2011

at Sunningdale Ladies Golf Club

Berkshire hosted this year's BB&O team stableford competition at Sunningdale Ladies Golf Club. This course is short but provides a real test with a 194 yard par 3 to start and the 6th a 213 yard par 3.

This quote from Sunningdales website sums up the course:-

"Many find playing to their handicap is difficult on our 'jewel' of a course; there are eleven par 3s and seven par 4s, making a total par of 61. The low handicap golfer finds club selection a challenge and the high handicap golfer will find the heather punishing. This shows what a remarkable score Emma Norris achieved and how hard she has been practising through the winter".

The day started with a cold wind but ended in glorious sunshine. Alice Richards was presented with her Junior Captain's county t-shirt. The team wishes to thank Pauline Cameron-Fraser (Berks) for a well organised and enjoyable day and Margaret Maisey, Tony Maisey and Anne Bridges for coming to support.
