The first round of the Midlands South Championships matchplay was held this morning in heavy rain and strong winds, making for very difficult conditions on the exposed course at The Oxfordshire.
The excellent results for Bucks in the first round were:-
Steph Gough (Ellesborough) beat Gemma Clements (Oxon) - 19th
Jess Burrows (Ellesborough) beat Anna Rock (Worcs & Heref) - 1Up
Zoe Fitz-Costa (Beaconsfield) beat fellow club member Annabel Dimmock - 2Up
The weather improved for the afternoon quarter-finals - the Bucks results were:-
Steph was beaten by Tilly Magill (Oxon)
Jess beat Claire Howell (Warwicks) - 3/2
Zoe was beaten by Meghan MacLaren (Northants) - 4/3
